The Tanzbuero Berlin was founded in 2005 as a central point of contact for the Berlin dance scene, under the responsible association Zeitgenoessischer Tanz Berlin e.V.. As a mediator between the dance scene and cultural policy, it communicates with all the city’s dance stakeholders and takes action against issues in the arts - for example, in the context of implementing the measures developed at the Round Table Dance. The website tanzraumberlin.de provides an overview of Berlin’s dance events, and shows who can be seen, where and when in the events calendar. The bi-monthly magazine tanzraumberlin (print & online) and the reviews portal tanzschreiber.de offer insights into current topics and discourses in the scene. 

Furthermore the Tanzbuero helps Berlin dance artists with free advice (individual conversations, group seminars, peer-to-peer workshops) and the six-month CPD module tandem. The annual dance campaign draws attention to the various schemes found across the city, while the tanzcard discount card gives holders cut-price entry to dance presentation venues.
