Open studio of the performance "The Broken Promise" which will premiere on 16 October.
Recurring migratory birds, the tides, captured sound waves - together with seven artists invited, Miriam Jakob tries out a "thinking in curves” in her current work. She thus continues the artistic research on the question of the (im)possibility of interaction between "human" and "animal" and the at times contradictory levels of relationships that arise as a result of the imposed proximity due to the loss of "habitats". "The Broken Promise" undermines the unrealizable access to so-called „nature“, tells of rebellious and strolling female researchers, of collecting and scattering, while alongside shedding a light on the coexistence of the species. The audience is invited to move through this installative, maritime landscape between science fiction, collection of fables and invented myths, to listen to the cuckoo or to the sea grass.
