Celine and Renana inaugurate Studio 19 | Studio 19, 16:15-16:30

Happy Birthday Interventions - Celine and Renana | Pop-up

The duo Celine and Renana will be present to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Uferstudios with their unexpected "Happy Birthday Interventions”.

Dance for Sale - Grupo Oito | courtyard, 19.30 - 21.00

What does dance actually costs? And how much is it worth?

“Dance for Sale” is a dance performance questioning the capitalist market value of dance. Who decides what is shown in public? “Dance for Sale” explores dance as a product and is a manifesto at the same time: it celebrates the autonomy of the arts, against institutional hurdles and cultural-political decisions.

Rolling Uferstudios - Claudia Garbe & Anja Spitzer | courtyard, 16:30 - 17:00 & 19.00 - 19.30

In 2009 Claudia Garbe rolled vertically along the walls of houses in her neighbourhood in Wedding for the first time. In this unusual movement she saw a possibility to make public space visible in a different way. For "10 Years Uferstudios" she will roll along the Uferstudios together with the performer Anja Spitzer. In doing so, they enter into a dialogue with their bodies and with the buildings.

Einfach tanzen - Martin Nachbar / FELD Theater mit David Bloom & Kaveh Ghaemi | courtyard, 16:45 - 17:15

Two people talk about how they started to dance. What or whom did they have to overcome? And why did they take dance eventually serious enough to make it their profession? A dance piece for kids from 6.

Hello, my name is Eugene. How can I help you? - Zhenya Salinski | courtyard, 17:00, 17:45, 19:30 & 20:00 (1 Minute)

“Hello, my name is Eugene. How can I help you?“ is a 1-minute perfoormance inspired by my job in a call center. The choreography is based on movements that are typical of a job where you sit around 7-8 hours a day, movements based in tension, pain and apparent stillness or non-movement.

The video of the project of the same name can be seen continuously in the office of Uferstudios.

Berlin Krump | courtyard, 17:15 - 17:45

Berlin Krump, consisting of about 30 active Krumpers, is a community that has recently started to blossom again. We are united by our love and passion for Krump. Krump is a very expressive and emotional dance style. It is about energy exchange between the dancing person and the audience hyping the person. This exchange of energy, pushing each other to rise above oneself, is what connects us.

The Court Performances are part of the Campaign module of "Attention Dance II", a project of Tanzbüro Berlin, supported by the Verein Zeitgenössischer Tanz Berlin e.V. The project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Senate Department for Culture and Europe from 2018-2021.

Note: With the tickets of the separate performances, meetings and open studios you also have access to the projects on the yard.
