A human being is embedded in various networks. Their aim is not only to provide a secure environment, but also to motivate and inspire other human beings to grow and evolve in any imaginable direction. Especially in our modern, digital, and global oriented lives, we take part in these structures more and more. Regardless of space and time, cultural identities can be supported and supra-national relations can be fostered. Societies become more diverse.

However, this transnational connection involves disadvantages, too. Numerous repeated financial and health crises were partly affected by this globalization, as we have seen with the Covid-19 pandemic. How can we, in times of crises, use our networks responsibly in order to support and protect our society? n-e-t-w-o-r-k-i-n-g examines this system of our global human networks through a multi-disciplinary performance. In a mixture of contemporary dance, live-installation, and composition, performers show how to create and use networks and how they can provide solutions in times of crises.

n-e-t-w-o-r-k-i-n-g is the 2nd co-production with the Berlin based dance company animi motus, and CounterPulse in San Francisco, USA. In 2018, the same year animi motus was founded, the company presented „ALIEN” at CounterPulse, a piece created with San Francisco based dance company Tim Rubel Human Shakes. Under the artistic direction of Elisabeth Kindler-Abali, animi motus has produced several dance works, some of which have been award winning. The works have been financially supported by Goethe Institut, Stiftung Frauen in Europa / TuWas - Stiftung für Gemeinsinn, Fonds Darstellende Künste and Dachverband Tanz Deutschland to name a few. These productions have been presented amongst others in Berlin, Cologne, Leipzig, and Munich (Germany) as well as in Brussels (Belgium) and San Francisco (USA).

A co-production with CounterPulse San Francisco / USA, funded by Fonds Darstellende Künste within the program Take Action, Checkpoint Charlie Stiftung, Berliner Senat, and Goethe Institut San Francisco.
